Must’ve Benzene Something I Drank
Update on the benzene-in-soda issue. From the Environmental News Network: “FDA finds benzene levels in soft drinks above tap water limit.” I’m reading a lot of doublespeak quotage in that story.
You remember how the cool kids in high school used to gang up and titter behind your back because you did that nerdy thing of wearing your backpack with BOTH shoulder straps or you wore a stupid headband they thought was so gauche-looking? And then you had this ONE FRIEND who kind of got along with the cool kids and you always thought she was standing up for you when she hung out with them, but then one day you catch her saying something to the cool kids and all of them, including your “friend” suddenly TURN TO LOOK AT YOU with huge smirks on their faces? FDA, YOU ARE TOTALLY THAT FRIEND!
