Black Gold and Inconvenient Truths

Black Gold

Black Gold, a documentary about the international coffee trade, will make its New York City debut at the Human Rights Watch Film Festival (June 9-12).

Check out the trailer on the movie’s Web site here. (Thanks, Scott!)

Speaking of movies, SuperAwesomeAlGore’s movie, An Inconvenient Truth, will be opening tomorrow in NYC at the Lincoln Square AMC and Sunshine theaters. (Join Green Home NYC and Solar One for discussion and drinks afterward; RSVP required.)

I am so beyond excited about An Inconvenient Truth. In all likelyhood it won’t be coming out here, to South Dakota, but we are hoping. What do you think about the coming release of “Who Killed the Electric Car?” from Sony pictures?

Blackgoldmovie looks very exciting, have you seen Blackcoffeemovie http://www.blackcoffeemovie.com/home.html ? It’s currently being broadcast on Tv Ontario (www.tvo.org) and is quite compelling. I don’t know if TVO is on cable or satellite feeds in the US, it’s the only channel I watch off of my wee little antennae.
