New York City is No. 7

New York City came in 7th place in SustainLane’s city sustainability rankings. Gotham ranked No. 1 for transport (no surprise there) but staggered past the finish line at 42nd place for air quality (also, depressingly unsurprising.)

It did, however, get placed 11th for having a “partial sustainability plan” and for an environmental department that collaborates in research with federal labs and governmental organizations.

How did your city do? Portland, Oregon, try not to rub it in, nobody likes a braggart. Bah, humbug.
