The very best, most incredible glass cleaner is rubbing alcohol. I use just plain water myself (skip the soap! why on earth add soap? and when you try it, you find that you don't even need the vinegar). However, for serious shine and sparkle and the feeling that you've put something Very Cleansing on your glass, rubbing alcohol is excellent. Of course, I haven't done any reasearch whatsoever on the environmental impact of rubbing alcohol, but I just can't imagine it's worse than ammonia. Ammonia! How do people do it? Ammonia! Yeech!
