Well I’ll be, did you know that those styrofoam packing peanuts can actually endanger your health? EarthTalk also suggests writing to the companies that send you packages stuffed with peanuts, and encouraging them to switch to more earth- and health-friendly alternatives. (My favorite: crumpled-up newspaper and shredded magazine paper that can be easily recycled.)
