    Miss you already!

The cats vs birds argument, I don’t know… My friend (who is a herpetologist (as in, studies salamanders and amphibians and such)) says that wind power is dangerous to flying animals, moreso bats than birds. This is problematic in places like NC where you’d have the windmills on the mountains where lots of different species of bats…

My question is– why all the concern over bird death? Allow me to be facetious for a moment, but any time there’s an outbreak of the bird-flu, they kill every bird in sight. How come those birds are okay to be exterminated? Endangerment? (…did i just make that word up??) I personally am horrified whenever I hear stories of huge amounts of animals being exterminated because of possible contamination. You never hear about humans being exterminated because of contamination. (I mean, you never hear about it without thinking a monster is behind it).

    I don’t know what I think, really.
