Hi Anne,

Good news! You can enroll in wind power from ConEd (http://www.conedsolutions.com/Residential/GreenPowerMain.htm). Just give them a ring! :)

Best,

So I scored a 5.5 our of 10 on the top 10. Instead of admonishing myself for making a D, I'm choosing to pat myself on the back, while knowing I can do better. I've only been in the eco-friendly kiddie pool for less than a year (although that's due to previous lack of information, I've been a life-long recycler and anti-litter advocate). Some of the items on the top 10 pose a particular challenge, specifically taking advantage of wind and/or solar power. I live in an apartment building, and get my con-ed bill every month (which has significantly reduced since I switched out all of our light bulbs and plugged everything into power strips that I turn off with a quick push of my toe before work in the morning). I'm assuming that con-ed powers the whole building. Is it possible for my power to come from (and thereby support) more energy efficient practices? Is this a conversation to have with the land lord, or with the electric company? Thanks!
