I saw a poster of one of his pieces with a lot of different birds against the sky… Something about migration? Anyway, it was at the Cornell Ornithology Lab… I love the way he uses strong lines and lines things up against each other.

So that’s who. My friends have a couple of his prints, which I’ve always found so intriguing, but never knew the artist’s name. I like the mantis. A LOT.

I missed his passing. I have a bunch of the posters he made for the park service, and my brother even managed to get one ot them signed for me….I’ll treasure it more now.

oh, thats sad. i have 2 of his ladybug prints and they are without doubt among my favourite possessions. i had big hopes of collecting dozens of them ! he had a witty inimitable style that appealed to the child in me without ever appearing childish. thanks for featuring his work.
