We adopted 4-month-old Mir just over two days ago from a rescue group that takes in cats and kittens bound for euthanasia (i.e. to meet their Kitty Maker) at overcrowded shelters.

Chekhov is PEEVED.

What a cutie! Congrats on the new addition to the family. I hope that Chekhov recovers from this indignity :-)

    Poor Chekhov.

Mir doesn’t look very well… is he/she ok?

Are you gonna a tag for him? What happened to the other name for a orange and white striped cat?

Awww, so cute. I used to have an orange stripey named Buzz. All attitude like my current grey stripey tabby of 10 years. Maybe it’s just a tabby thing. The calicos and the tortoise shells are quite the lovers, always lookin’ for a lap.

Congratulations to you and Mir! I have an orange and white cat I rescued, too. His name is Peanut and he weighs about 17 pounds! THe rescued kitties are always to most affectionate and lovable it seems. He’s adorable!

He is so cute, so precious. He does look a bit out of sorts, but I bet he will be quite the little feisty one.

He’s totally swa-vey. Lucky him (and you - it will be a long time before we’re ready for another kitten!)

I just got a rescue kitty too! My dogs are slowly get used to the idea… I’m just about to make a dash for my camera, not sure if they’ll all get up, but the two dogs and the kitten are all curled up on the couch together sleeping. Here I go!

How are the kitties now? I adopted my newest kitty about a month ago, and my old kitty still isn’t getting along with him. Do you have any ideas on how they can someday become friends?
