Simple Joys: Green Tea Cupcake
A green tea cupcake I happily noshed on last month outside Beechwood Cafe in Jersey City, a simple indulgence that brought me more pleasure than any expensive designer tote can. What was your most recent inexpensive (or better yet, free) source of pleasure?

Homemade tomato soup. It was the first course in last Saturday’s candlelight dinner with my sweetie. I never made it before and we savored it. Made us stop and appreciate the simple pleasure.

1) biking down a non-crowded street on a sunny day and enjoying the sky
2) coming home to a warm cat
3) placing face in said cat’s warm belly

A good run. Running shoes, while not inexpensive, are my favorite money sink nowadays. Also, the amount paid vs the joy received graph is very steep.
Also, taking the dogs for a walk and talking to the cats. The cats will answer back, the dogs, just look at you funny.

oh.my.yumminess. I now must have a green tea cupcake. Simple indulgence today: watching a hummingbird sitting on a branch, then swoop in to sip nectar from some native monkey flowers I just brought home for planting.
