    I have a friend who majored in Women’s Studies and Economics. Her senior thesis was done on Project RED, the widespread marketing campaign to help fund AIDS research. Basically, the conclusion of her study was that those types of projects are more about helping people feel better about their guilt than really doing something for a cause.
