DIY Bracelet From Magazine Subscription Cards

Here’s a great tutorial on TimeOut New York on how to weave a swanky bracelet out of those pesky magazine-subscription cards. Unless you’re a complete mag hag, however, it might take you a while to get the 81 cards you’ll need for this project. I wonder if this will work for candy wrappers, too.

this is cool, i remember having collected a lot of the inserts over years of magazine subscriptions (Reader’s Digest is most notable in bulk inserts, really). I think this is a nice way of recycling them. I think it may well serve as a pen holder too.
Thanks for sharing!

I did this for school but instead of using subscription cards we used chip bags like lays, doritos, etc. So candy wrappes will definitely work too.

I remember doing this with the gum wrappers back in high school. when I say back in high school, I’m talking 1960’s ! so this has been around for awhile. I think back then we just made a long chain, usually at lunch time or free periods. I like the effect of turning it into a bracelet, now that would have started a new trend! lol
